HairLabs (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app on iOS (and, where available, Android).

- Account Information: Name and email address (from Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In).
- Images: Selfies you capture or upload and any AI-generated images created in the app.
- Usage Data: App interactions, device type, OS version, crash/diagnostic logs, and general analytics.
- In-App State: Token/credit balance and related usage timestamps for rate limiting.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:
- Provide core features (e.g., analyze face shape/hair texture, suggest styles, generate/edit images).
- Operate and improve the app (e.g., performance, debugging, analytics).
- Enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.
- Communicate updates, changes, or support responses.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, which may collect and process your data under their own privacy policies:

- Account and token data are retained while your account is active.
- Selfies are stored on your device until you delete them (we may keep a local cache of analysis results on your device).
- Diagnostic and analytics data are retained for a reasonable period to operate and improve the app.

7. Use of Face Data

What We Collect:
HairLab uses the uploaded selfie, which may include the user’s face, for hairstyle analysis and image generation.Purpose of Use:
The selfie is analyzed using Google’s Gemini AI model to suggest hairstyles and create new images showing potential looks.Data Processing and Storage:
The analysis and image generation are handled by Gemini. The selfie is sent securely to Gemini’s servers for temporary processing and is not stored permanently by HairLab.
The resulting images and the user’s selfie are stored locally on the user’s device only. HairLab does not collect or retain any facial images on external servers.Third-Party Sharing:
HairLab shares face data only with Gemini (Google’s AI service) for processing. No other third parties have access to user images.Data Retention:
Since HairLab does not store any facial data externally, the user controls how long their images remain on their device. Users can delete their images at any time directly from their device.Security and Privacy:
All communication with Gemini’s API is encrypted using HTTPS. No face recognition, biometric matching, or user identification is performed.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the HairLabs mobile application (iOS and, where available, Android).
By using HairLabs, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the App

HairLabs helps you explore hairstyles using AI. With HairLabs you can:
- Capture or upload a selfie
- Get AI analysis (e.g., face shape, hair texture) and suggested hairstyles
- Preview/edit looks and save images for reference
- Optionally save images to your deviceYou must be at least 13 years old to use the app. You agree to use HairLabs only for lawful purposes.

2. Account & User Responsibilities

You’re responsible for your account and any activity under it. Do not misuse the app (e.g., attempt to bypass limits, abuse promotions, upload unlawful content, or interfere with service operations).

3. User Content & Permissions

By uploading images (including selfies) or other content, you represent that you have the rights to do so. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide app features (e.g., AI analysis and image generation). You remain the owner of your content.

4. Subscriptions, Tokens & Payments

HairLabs may offer in-app purchases, tokens/credits, or subscriptions via the Apple App Store and/or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in your app store settings. We do not process or store your payment details directly.

5. AI Outputs & Disclaimers

AI results are generated for informational and entertainment purposes. Styles shown are suggestions and may vary in real-life results. HairLabs does not provide medical, cosmetic, or professional advice. Always consult a professional stylist for final decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

HairLabs, including its software, branding, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app or its assets except as permitted by law or these Terms.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or abuse the service. You may stop using the app at any time. Certain sections that by nature should survive termination will remain in effect (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations of liability).

8. Limitation of Liability

HairLabs is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
